Early in the day an overcast blanket of clouds rolled in from the southwest. It covered Lake Encarthen and a bit inland but seemed to stop there. Captain Freeling didn’t like it much. She said that The Isle of Terror was out in that direction in the middle of the lake and even though the Whispering Tyrant had been entombed, strange things still happened on Lake Encarthen. It’s why she mostly avoided trips to places on the lake.
That evening while at anchor, the ship was attacked by undead Draugr that climbed the anchor ropes and set upon the crew. The party managed to drive off the attack but not before one of the Draugr was able to incapacitate and carry Daisy Thistledown, one of the crew, off into the deep. The Captain immediately pulled up anchors and made sail in the night. She swore loudly that she was never coming back to this accursed lake.

The days were quiet and spent learning skills from the crew or studying the library that Count Lowls had left behind. Zach found a slip of paper in one of the books that contained the following list:
- Viscount’s signet ring
- Feline tail (blue and purple mottled fur)
- Skull of ghoul royalty
- Green stone idol of a water lizard
- Night hag ambassador’s heartstone
- Captain’s tricorne
- Red webbed foot
No one knew what the list signified but they decided to start researching each of these things in all the books. They started with the Viscount and his ring.
They find reference to a Viscount in the dreamlands named, Pietro Brellin. He was a ruler in the city of Celephais. The city seemed to be frozen in time in some manner that was hard to understand. Lowls had gone there to barter for Pietro’s ring. The Viscount frequently holds lavish parties and events where strange things occur. The party goers ignore the strangeness though. Bringing them up frequently results in the Viscount’s displeasure… which isn’t a good thing. Finally, they discover the words needed to use in the ritual to travel to the Dreamlands that would transport them to Celephais.

A fog rolled in the early morning hours along the shoreline. It was thick and hung across the water like a blanket. As the Starling headed for the fog bank, Gardain, in the crow’s nest, caught sight of a longship with red sails far back but following. As the Starling entered the fog, 4 trails as if something moving quickly under the water came straight for the ship. Gardain called them out and that’s where we ended the session.
